Fruitvale Housing and the Yakima Housing Authority are proudly receiving City of Yakima HOME Funds in partnership with other sources to build 54 units of affordable housing by Spring of 2024.
During the course of the development there may be training, employment and contracting opportunities for low-income residents in the greater Yakima community and those residents of YHA housing in accordance with the Section 3 provision of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act of 1968. Section 3 is intended to foster local economic development, neighborhood economic improvement and individual self-sufficiency in the community where projects are being built utilizing federal funding.
